The Catholic Faith

Carlo Acutis to be Canonised by the church

The Pope has cleared the way for Blessed Carlo Acutis to be canonised as a Saint. He will become the first Millenial Saint for the young generation of Catholics and non-Catholics. It is hoped that his life story will give hope and inspiriation to others to discern their faith and ignite their belief in God.

Carlo lived his short life with passion and vigour for the Blessed Eucharist. He was clever with information technology and taught himself programming to create a website to put together an exhibition of Eucharistic miracles that has gone on to be displayed at thousands of parishes on five continents. His spiritual director has attested that Carlo was personally convinced that the scientific evidence from Eucharistic miracles would help people to realize that Jesus is really present in the Eucharist and come back to Mass.

Carlo died at the age of 15 of leukaemia. For someone who lived such a short life, Carlo has achieved more than some people in a lifetime. Read more about Carlo’s life Venerable Carlo Acutis and his love for the Eucharist | Catholic News Agency or watch the video.
